Simon Jordan wants Charlton to pay compensation for appointing IAIN DOWIE as their new manager.
Jordan is suing DOWIE for fraudulent misrepresentation after claiming he went back on an agreement to leave Palace because he wanted to move back to the north.
The Palace chief paid Hull £300,000 compensation for landing new boss Peter Taylor and he wants the Addicks to recompense Palace for appointing DOWIE.
"I have just paid money to Hull so I think it's right and proper Charlton should pay money for IAIN," he said. "I'm many things, but I'm not a fool.
"Why would I waive compensation for IAIN to go five miles down the road to enhance his reputation and manage in the Premiership while I go and pay money for someone else? There's no logic to it.
"It was important to me that I did what was right and proper and acted with integrity getting Peter Taylor.
"Adam Pearson is a good chairman and a good friend of mine and there was no way I was going to go round the back door and talk to his manager surreptitiously.
"There was a £300,000 compensation clause and Ipaid it because I do things properly unlike some people. I don't try to nick managers. Maybe other people do."
Jordan said he is willing to go to court to prove DOWIE "lied" to him over his agreement to quit Crystal Palace.
"The conversation and agreement I had with IAIN was very clear but it has been taken a different way," he said.
"I know what was said, though, and whatever happens in the legal system -win, lose or draw - I was lied to and the fact is the man lies.
"The sooner it is settled, the better for all concerned because I want as little to do with the protagonists as possible. But if we have to get into court and give testimonies then so be it."
